Madani Welfare Association was established on 5th August 1986 and was registered under the Society Registration Act of 1860 on 5th Sept. 1991 vide no 2708-107/1991-92 and got registered in FCRA act 1976 vide FCRA no105020166 and under 12(A) of Income Tax act 1961.

In the year 1991-92 the nomenclature of the organization was changed and it became MADANI WELFARE ASSOCIATION (MAWA) in place of Muslim Fund. It was legally registered under the Society Registration Act of 21 of 1860 with 25 members in the General Body and 11 members in the Managing Committee vide registration no. 2708-107/1991-92.
